a little story:

once upon a time there was a girl named brook.
she went home to california....
and left this:

to come back to this {usually a little hill and several large houses are visible}:

she also came home to a temperamental car that decided to break.
one day after {a very long and strenuous first day back at} work, she decided to drive her broken car to the dealership in this:

after driving her car to draper from slc, then back to slc to pick up her rental car, and then back to draper to finally go home, it took 4 hours.
she was a little grumpy after the very long, freezing day and 4 hours of driving. then, about ten minutes before she got home, she was going over a hill on 13th, and saw this {courtesy of the standard journal}:

she had never seen a more beautiful sight at a more perfect time in her life. she was so excited that the draper temple was finally lit up. after the reminder of what is REALLY important in life, everything else fizzled out, and she remembered that God loves all of us. she lived happily ever after.
THE END.

Brooklyn, Thanks for reminding me of what is important, as well. Have a great Sabbath! (That is, if you are reading this on Sunday. Otherwise just have a great day-today.)

It does not matter if there is sunshine or snow... what matter is how grateful we are for all that we have, including the hard times... Heavenly Father will not leave us to just "grumpy"! - Thanks for sharing and reminding me as well. - Yup
